Knockturn Alley would like to thank Cypher, Loathe, Remedy Club and Steve (the soundman) for making this possible but most of all, we would like to thank everyone who attended the show and made it a great one. As mentioned in a previous post we played Epilogue (Cities Burn) for the first time and as promised here are the lyrics for this song. The song, whose lyrics were written by Dimitris, talks about the riots recently occuring in major cities in Greece. Again we posted the video clip from the riots, for you to enjoy while reading the lyrics.

The Album
In the meantime we are preparing ourselves for our debut album launch which should be happening somewhere between the end of April and beginning of May. We cannot be sure of dates yet as the album is still in the process of mixing and mastering, and of course then comes the cd replication, artwork printing etc. The launch gig is already in the planning stages though, and talks for a supporting band have already started; we should be able to confirm the supporting band in the coming weeks.

A 15-year old shot in cold blood by the police and the effect that all this had on the Greek society. Riots, fire, fights, protests, and more fire continuously ravaged Greece’s major cities for days. Day and night, protesters fought their way against police to make their statement.

This is one of the new songs to be featured on our upcoming album. Being a Greek inspired Dimitris to write lyrics for one of our songs. “Epilogue (Cities Burn)” will be on our debut album to be recorded in January and the song talks about the society’s perspective in these hard times, and this was probably even harder for Dimitris to be away from home on such a historical event for the Greeks. The music for this song has been written for quite some time and in fact we have even recorded the guide track for this song; a snippet of the recording can be found here. We thought that the lyrics fit perfectly with the song’s idea and concept so we decided to go for it and include this song on our record. We should upload the lyrics in the coming posts so make sure you keep checking out our blog.
